What is interior designing and what do they include?

For most of the home buyers, the major question they face is how to make the best use of their space along with enhancing the beauty of their house. After buying a house, you are left with space to live but you need basic infrastructure for various household amenities like television, computers, utensils, cloths, books and study materials, storage items, shoes and slippers etc. To plan these infrastructures, an interior design is required to be prepared and executed. The infrastructures include T.V unit, modular kitchen unit, wardrobes, cot, shoe rack, study table, work from home tables etc.

Interior designing is basically an art and science to increase the aesthetics of the interior space of the building by providing necessary infrastructure to the amenities with a theme to the interior space using lightings and colour combinations. Usually the interior works are manufactured with plywood and decorated with laminate and veneer. Apart from this, there are a vast range of products available in the market to overlay on the plywood to achieve necessary looks and finishes. Also false ceiling and false flooring concepts also come under interior works. These concepts help in distributing and focussing lights to the required area and provide electrical points at different spots as per requirements.

To attain maximum durability of the interior infrastructures, importance has to be given for selecting plywood and hardware. Plywoods are available in commercial grade, boiling water resistant and boiling water proof grades are available. Hardwares are available in zinc coated mild steel made or stainless steel made. The decision in selecting these materials has to be made depending on the extent to which these materials are exposed to moisture. If the selection of right plywood and hardware is made, maximum risks of durability of the interiors are taken care of. All other decorative materials are just an overlay on these structural products which can be easily selected based on the appearance of the same. I will be writing a detailed blog on how to select each material in interior works.

The major classifications of interior works are as follows:

  1. Wood work: which includes kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, cot, study tables, shoe racks, storage units, crockery units, wall panelling etc.
  2. False ceiling & false flooring: which includes POP false ceiling, vinyl ceiling, wooden false flooring, wooden rafters etc.
  3. Partition walls: which includes POP partition walls, cement sheets, plywood partition walls etc.,
  4. Electrical wiring and lightings: which includes electrical conduiting and wiring, focus lights, scatter light, running LED light, chandeliers etc.
  5. Painting and polishing: which includes PU and enamel polishing on veneer and mdf, poly-coat polishing etc.
  6. Wall papers, stencil paintings and collaborative art works
There are many of interior work companies available online which showcases modern designs of interior works with various packages and specifications. These companies manufacture the furniture at their factory and then transport and install the same at the site. There are few factors that are to be considered while selecting the interior work company, which are:
  1. The company should be transparent to show all the raw products used in manufacturing
  2. The company should take up all related works like electrical, flooring, cleaning etc., so as to help take up the whole interior works as turnkey project.
  3. The company should give various options in finishings, hardware, plywood etc.
  4. The company should design the space and then give an exact estimate for the same before getting the order confirmation.
Conclusion: This article gives a fair idea about the interior work definition and how to select online interior work professionals. Although, people into construction also take up the interior works which is more advantageous to the clients as they can get all other related works done along with interior works. By giving vendors who work onsite, clients can have track on the raw materials like plywood, mdf, fevicol etc., used in the interior works. You can find more works done and contact us for any related works at our website.
